∞ Meet Your Inspector - Sam Wilson ∞
Hello! My name is Sam, and if you'll give me a minute I'd like to tell you a bit about myself and my background.
At home, I'm a proud father of four and a still-thrilled-that-she-said-yes husband. I'm a Scouts BSA Merit Badge Counselor - in Home Repair, Public Health, and Safety, and I have a passion for cooking (to be fair, it might be prompted by a passion for eating). I've renovated homes in Central IL and helped build them Internationally, and I enjoy taking on projects that require me to research and learn. And I also have two black labs - named Tango and Cash (they run the SOCIAL FEED).
I'm a Central IL native, and although I've traveled and lived elsewhere in my life... I'm thrilled to have been able to come full circle and end up back in the Heartland. Because to be honest... I love it here. For a multitude of reasons.
One of the biggest being the people.
Prior to becoming a licensed and certified home inspector, I spent the bulk of my professional career in foodservice management and professional consulting and my volunteer efforts in residential remodeling and renovation - for a combined span of more than 30 years.
While serving in those capacities I gained, among many other things, knowledge and experience in:
∞ project planning and logistics on residential construction,
∞ site supervision on commercial construction,
∞ risk assessment and risk management implementation,
and (the most important in my opinion)
∞ insightful, intelligent, and compassionate approaches to solutions.
When I first started inspecting homes, I was fortunate enough to have an extremely experienced inspector take me under his wing. This provided me an opportunity to hone my skills and advance both my formal and informal education and training. And although it might not matter to some, I'm thankful to say that I still maintain that relationship to this day.
All of that being said... I am experienced, certified, educated, and accredited.
Given my abilities and background, and my sincere dedication to helping you protect your interests... I firmly believe that I am exactly what you're looking for in an inspector. And I'm excited to welcome you to the Infinity family.
