Protecting Your Investment

Home Inspection

YOU'RE INVESTING A LOT INTO YOUR HOME

MAKE SURE TO PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT

We all want reassurances that the things we buy - no matter how big or small they may be - are of the best quality and are going to last.  And for most people, the bigger the item, the more concerning that becomes.

So, what should you do about protecting the investment on your home?

Be proactive and get a home inspection

A home is one of the largest investments you'll ever make.  Getting a home inspection from a licensed and certified home inspector is the single biggest and best thing you can do to make sure that you’re being safe and smart about that purchase.  And that holds true whether you're buying or selling, as well as if you're utilizing an inspection as part of an ongoing maintenance effort on a home you already own.  Often times, the average homeowner is capable of seeing glaring issues like major cracks in a driveway or heavy water stains on a basement wall.  But identifying the smaller issues and concerns takes a trained eye.  And it's not something that you want to leave to chance or take a gamble on.

How do you know you’re using the right Home Inspector?

ASK QUESTIONS LIKE:

Is the inspector, as well as the company they work for, licensed in the State of IL?

Both Infinity Inspection Services LLC and our inspector are licensed by the State.

Are they InterNACHI certified?

InterNACHI is the world’s leading association for home inspectors.  Without a doubt it is the gold standard for certification within the home inspection industry.  And yes, we are certified.

What sort of effort do they make about ongoing training and certification?

We are committed to tripling the State requirement for ongoing education.

How much does an inspection cost?

Unlike many inspection companies, you can see our prices upfront – because we don’t charge extra for things.

Do they offer other services?

Infinity currently is one of few to perform Well System Inspections and Water Quality Testing.  And we have the ability to help you source - among other needs and situations - mold, radon, septic, and wood-destroying organism testing.

What reporting software do they use?  Is it easy to read?  Can I see a sample report?

We use Spectora for our reporting software.  It’s most definitely easy to read and understand, and it’s one of the preferred ones by real estate agents.  Reach out to us and we'll happily share a sample report with you.

How quickly should I schedule and inspection?

Real estate transactions are provided with what often times feels like too little and, simultaneously, too much time.  You don't want to risk thinking you have more time than you do.  Scheduling early is the best bet to make certain that everything gets done.
